Top Ten Tuesday: Celebrating Diversity

hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This list has made me keenly aware that I need to be reading more books with diverse characters in it.   For the rest of this year, I'm going to make a conscious effort to pick up more books that celebrates diversity. O.o

1. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan
2. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon
3. The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie

4. Sold by Patricia McCormick
5. Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson

6. Hard Love by Ellen Wittlinger
7. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
8. Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy by Gary D. Schmidt

  1. I realized that there was a lack of diversity in my reading a while ago. I decided to focus on finding diverse authors and I've loved the books that I've found. Have a great time exploring whole new worlds of books.
