This is a really convenient topic this week because I went to San Diego Comic Con and literally came back with 10 new books. So I guess let's call this the TTT/SDCC haul post!
1. Legend by Marie Lu
2. Prodigy by Marie Lu
3. Champion by Marie Lu
So I absolutely love this trilogy. I thought it was done really well, the ending especially which is not a hugely popular reaction. I don't care. I fell in love the characters and thought they were particularly unique. At ComicCon I met Marie Lu and she signed Legend for me and I got to tell her how much I loved these books so that was incredible!
4. The Young Elite by Marie Lu - Marie Lu also signed this one for me as well! I'm super excited to read it and find out all about this new series.
5. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson - I've read some Lumberjanes, but I haven't read this. I'd actually check this out from the library before leaving for SDCC, but hadn't brought it with me. As I was standing in line for the group signing, which included Noelle Stevenson and Marie Lu, I had someone in front of me convince me to buy this graphic novel for myself. So I did. By the way, Noelle is so so sweet! :D
6. Red Rising by Pierce Brown - I was standing in line for an experience for the new Heroes Reborn show and a couple of people came sauntering over and asked if we wanted a book and so of course I said yes. This particular book turned out to be Red Rising, which I've been meaning to look into recently so that was a complete win for me!
7. Now That You're Here by Amy K, Nichols - One of the publishing booths, (I can't remember which one right now.) had a buy one get two free sale and that woke me wide awake. This book was one of the three I got. I'm not sure what it's about but its cover is beautiful!
8. Nightmares! by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller - I've had my eye on this book for a while now and I was able to pick it up at the buy one get two free booth which was great! I'm interested to see how Jason Segel's story plays out.
9. Uncaged by John Sandford and Michele Cook - The concept of this book sounds really interesting and it was part of the buy one get two free booth so I decided to give it a try!
10. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - The only thing I know about this book is kilts and Scotland and that it's also a Starz show. I'm not usually one for movie poster covers, but this one isn't all that bad. I received this free at the Random House booth at SDCC.
I liked Outlander! I hope you like it too and the rest of your books! :-) My TTT!
