Favorite moment from the movies.

I really enjoyed the scene when Hermione hits Malfoy in Prisoner of Azkaban. Not only because we get to see it twice, but because it's just so so satisfying. This was still in the early stages of Hermione's character development and honestly I never saw it coming when I read the books. She got to do to Malfoy what everyone wished they could do. So seeing it come to life was awesome.

Which books would you recommend to Neville?

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan - There's so much of Percy's life that reflects in Neville's. I mean Percy feels like a screw up, but in reality he is a badass. I think young Neville would have taken comfort in these books. 

Hawkeye Vol 1: My Life as a Weapon by Matt Fraction - So I believe that Neville would enjoy superheroes, specifically superheroes that don't have any special powers. Hawkeye is the epitome of non-powered superheroes. I can totally see Neville flying through these comics and loving them. 

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - I'm not sure Neville would like this series as a whole, but I do think he'd really enjoy the sections that talk about the plants and herbs. What's poisonous and what plants are medicinal. You don't get to see that in a lot of books and even though these only touch on that briefly, I think he would dig it.

What/who would you want J.K. Rowling to write an extra short story about?

Oh there are so many stories I'd love to read! I'd love to see more stories about the Marauders during their time in school and their young adult life (pre-Harry). I know she wrote that one short story for the charity auction and I loved it. But also, I'd take some stories about Snape and Lily as children and growing up at Hogwarts, which I imagine would have Marauders as well.

AND give me some stories about Fred and George post their epic leave from Hogwarts. I want to see them do their hijinks in the real world as they attempt to get their shop off the ground. Oh that would be fun.

Also, young Hagrid making friends with all sort of dangerous animals. I can just see him as like a five-year-old making friends with a raccoon and escalating from there.

OH and give me some young McGonagall! She is one fierce woman and there's got to be some good stories of her in her youth!

Who was your favorite actor/actress is the movies?

There are so many amazing actors in these movies it's hard to choose just one. However, if I had to, I think I'd choose Dame Maggie Smith. She is one hell of an actor and so versatile too. She portrays McGonagall in to perfection, almost exactly how I pictured her while reading the books. You cannot go wrong with a movie staring Maggie Smith.  I just love this picture of her on the set reading the prop Daily Prophet.

Which Deathly Hallows would you want to keep for yourself?

I'd want the invisibility cloak. This is probably the safest of the Deathly Hallows. The resurrection stone and the elder wand both have temptations that are almost too hard to resist. I would never use the resurrection stone because I don't want to have the painful reminder. I don't want to own the elder wand either because that always seems to attract the wrong people. I'd rather live a longer life than be murdered for something I own. The invisibility cloak seems to be the Hallow that would do the least amount of damage.

Who would you rather have as an enemy, Dumbledore or Voldemort?

I would absolutely have Voldemort as my enemy because then by default Dumbledore would be my ally. Despite all we know about Dumbledore's past, I trust that he would help anyone who was fighting against Voldemort. There are no benefits to having Dumbledore are my enemy. Voldemort can still want to kill me, and then there would be two very powerful wizards that don't like me.

Would you rather go to Azkaban for 5 years or be hunted by Death Eaters for your whole life?

This is a bad question. The answer is neither, I want to experience neither of these things. Both of those choices would have serious life long consequences. Five years in Azkaban is enough to send anyone crazy and being hunted by Death Eaters would leave you unable to settle down anywhere. How can you build a life like that? 

If I had to answer I guess I would pick being hunted by Death Eaters. There's no way I would survive time in Azkaban, so it's the other option.

Which character makes you laugh the most?

I think every character has their moments of humor, but if I were to choose I think Fred and George win. Their humor together (you can't have one without the other) just cracks me up. They have a good natured humor that mixes with sarcasm perfectly so that sometimes you're not sure if they are serious or just joking. But their gags are always on point. (I'm looking that the inflatable swamp in Order of the Phoenix.) I get a good giggle whenever they're in the story.

It's the battle of Hogwarts! Which wizard do you go after to battle first? 

My absolute first thought is Fenrir Greyback. He's such a savage character, I'd want to help take him down before he can harm anyone else. He's turned enough people I love into werewolves, and if I could prevent the deaths he caused in the battle of Hogwarts then I'd take that honor.

If you could change one thing from the eighth film, what would it be?

That final battle! I mean, it's not all bad, but I was really hoping for the final face-off between Harry and Voldemort to be epic. And for there to be a body.  That was the whole point, wasn't it. Everyone feared Voldemort because he disappeared the first time. There was no real evidence that he was dead, he was just gone. The final battle needed the body, a tangible confirmation that Voldemort was, in fact, actually dead.

You have a chance to make three Horcruxes, what items do you use?

First, let me just put this out there: I would NEVER make Horcruxes because I want to keep all of me together. I'm not playing any games. However, if I *had* choose,  I'd probably pick a book, not sure which one exactly. (I think it'd be too cheesy to pick a Harry Potter book.)  One of my mugs would be a good choice; there are so many, no one would guess which one. And some measuring spoons, maybe my first set.

These picks may make it easy to find my Horcruxes, but they do represent my personality pretty well. Here's to hoping I never find myself entertaining the idea of making one!

What store would be your first stop in Diagon Alley when picking up your supplies for your first year in Hogwarts?

Without question it would be Ollivanders. I would get up early to be first in line to get my wand! All the other shops are pretty exciting and I definitely would love Flourish and Blotts, but the wand is where it's at! Plus, I want to meet Ollivander himself!

Favorite Hogwarts painting.

I absolutely love Sir Cadogan.  He's ridiculous and entertaining, always good for a laugh, but he means well.  I love that he's so into his job in Prisoner of Azkaban when he replaces the Fat Lady as entryway to Gryffindor tower. I also love that he pops in just about any random painting he can find. He's always looking for danger and ready to protect anyone and anything, even though he's a painting.

Would you rather get a disapproving glare from McGonagall or Dumbledore?


Absolutely I'd prefer to get the glare of disapproval from Dumbledore. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to on Dumbledore's bad side, but there is something about McGonagall that makes me want to never let her down. She's badass and encouraging. She sees the best in every student, which is why I think seeing disappointment on her face would hurt more. She knows you can do better. I mean, look at that glare, look at it.

How would you use Felix Felicis (Liquid Luck)?

This is such a hard question because there are so many options. Some of the more obvious and tempting ones are picking lotto numbers or entering a contest/sweepstakes/competition. Imagine the possibilities of what one could win with Felix Felicis. 

I've always want to write and publish a novel. I know what a arduous process that can be at times, so I think I would use Liquid Luck to help me find a publisher once I had a manuscript that I was proud of and wanted to start pitching. Though, I might have to use it to help me get to that writing point. 
I'm sure as soon as this is published, I will think of another really good way to use Felix Felicis because that's how my brain works.

Which character confused you most through the series?

This is such an interesting question. I'm not sure I've ever stopped to consider who was confusing to me. My first thought is Dumbledore. He is so vague and whimsical; lots of the things he says to Harry are confusing especially in the early books. There is a lot that didn't make sense when he speaks candidly to Harry because he holds back information. As Harry gets older, Dumbledore decides to confide in him more and some of the confusion is cleared up. However, a lot of it goes to the grave with him. Part of Dumbledore's aesthetics is his mystery and vagueness, it's the allure that keeps us begging for more.

Would you have joined the Slug Club?

This is an interesting topic. My initial thought is why not. There's part of me that has no interest in being used the way Slughorn tends to use his students. I do not like the idea of being collected, as Dumbledore once so bluntly put it. However, I also know that life is all about the connections you have. So if Slughorn wants me in his club, than why not use that to my advantage. Plus, I think I would enjoy some of the other people in the club, well if it's people like Harry, Hermione, and Ginny.

Favorite Hogwarts Founder. Or whichever one fascinates you the most.

It may be because I'm a Hufflepuff, but Helga Hufflepuff has always been someone I had great appreciation for as founder. The other founders had very specific characteristics and traits they wanted for their houses and that kind of exclusivity always seemed a bit weird to me. I loved that Hufflepuff didn't subscribe to that mentality. She valued kindness and loyalty in her students, but she didn't discriminate who belonged in her house.

On a side note, Salazar Slytherin is also interesting to me. Even with all the talk about evil witches and wizards coming out of Slytherin, there clearly must have been something about him that drew the other founders to him. I'd be curious to see them all interact with each other.
