Month of Harry Potter: Fandom Apparel

Not that I need an excuse to talk about Harry Potter, but this month (JULY) there's going to be a lot more of that around this blog!

Faith of GeekyZooGirl and Micheline of Lunar Rainbow Reviews are hosting the Harry Potter Month in July and I'm on board!  People can compete in the House Cup by accumulating house points.  I'll be earning said house points by posting about Harry Potter among other Harry Potter related activities! This year I will be representing Hufflepuff!

All month long,  I'll continue to post my weekly Thursday Harry Potter Moment of the Week posts, but I'm sure there will be so much more Harry Potter fun in the future.  Let's get this show on the road!

I'm all about fandom apparel and I have some pretty awesome things that I want to share with you!  I've been to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter 4 times in the past 5 years, so I've acquired some pretty amazing things from there.  Also, some of my favorite Harry Potter related things were gifts or DYI projects.  Without further ado:

My Gryffindor House Robes and Hufflepuff Sweater

DYI craft projects!

Tattoo (I got it July 31, 2014!)

Here are some of the things that would love to own. (Because you can never have enough Harry Potter.)  If you'd like to check out any of these, they are all found on my Pinterest board called My Inner Nerd.

Let me explain the last one:  Ever since I saw the Deathly Hallows movie poster, I thought it would be incredible cool to get a copy of the Sorcerer's Stone and the Deathly Hallows posters framed side by side.  The two different posters speak volumes about the series.  I love the juxtaposition of the them.

  1. Oh, you're so lucky! I live in Ukraine and going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is but a dream... I love your collection and I love the two posters together: the magical and the dramatic side by side. Thank you for sharing!

    1. Oh you do! What are your tattoos? I'm thinking about getting another one and I have been testing placements with temporary tattoos.

Thank you! I love all my stuff too. The robes were a Christmas gift from my Gramma one year, but it was a huge surprise. I had no idea they were coming. I'm pretty sure I teared up a little when I opened them.

  3. I'm so jealous of all the HP apparel you have =D! I just love your Hufflepuff sweater! I have a huge list of HP related clothes that I would love to get, but sadly I own none of them :(.

The Poster Idea is genius! They would be so cool framed next to each other, not only because it shows how far the series developed but also because the last movie poster was freaking cool! I think why I really like the last movie poster so much was because it doesn't even say the name of the movie. It just says HP7. That shows how popular it was and how many people loved it. They didn't need to put the name on it, everyone would just know what movie it was and I love that =D
