Notable Quotable: J.K. Rowling (#122)

In honor of Harry Potter Month, the Notable Quotables will all be from Harry Potter this month!  I'll also be doing a couple extra because I want to get a quote from each book.  And where better to start than with the inception of my favorite trio!

"There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other, and knocking out a twelve-foot mountain troll is one of them."
--Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

  1. I adore this quote and I can't believe that one of J.K. Rowling's editors insisted that she hould delete the whole troll episode because the book was too long for kids. I'm so glad she didn't!

  2. LOVE ♥ I actually just shared the quote that comes straight before it on my Goodreads a few days ago. The moment where the trio becomes a trio is one of my favorites in the series. They're the perfect group of friends!

  3. Yes! Something big had to happen in order to draw these three different personalities all together and that was such a big moment for them. Of course you have to be friends after fighting a troll together. What a bonding experience LOL

  6. Awww, I love this line! Such a great moment. Nothing bonds you together like taking on monster that could crush you like a bug! ^_^
