1. The Prey by Tom Isbell (January) - This is the start of a trilogy, which would normally have me cautious, but it does sound interesting. Plus the cover is really cool.
2. Monstrous by MarcyKate Connolly (February) - It's described as Frankenstein meets Brothers Grimm, what's not to like!
3. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (February) - People are separated by the color of their blood in this book. The common folk have red and the special elites have silver. If that's not an interesting concept, I don't know what is.
4. The Sin Eater's Daughter by Melinda Salisbury (February) - This book sounds intriguing and the cover alone makes me want to read this book. Throw in the mix a girl with a deadly touch and I'm waiting impatiently for this one to come out!
5. Dove Arising by Karen Boa (February) - It takes place on the moon. There's a colony on the moon. I'm really excited to read some sci-fi in 2015, and this will be among the first. It sounds really interesting and could be an excellent book.
6. The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey (April) - Not that this has anything to do with the book, but the author's hair is purple and that's really cool!
7. Becoming Jinn by Laurie Goldstein (April) - This cover is beautiful and I'm not sure I've ever read a book about Genies, so this is a book that I'm really interested in reading. I want it to be really good, so I hoping it will be!
8. Denton Little's Deathdate by Lance Rubin (April) - This book sounds like a comedy of errors. I'm looking forward to reading this one and I anticipate laughing quite a bit.
9. Made You Up by Francesca Zappia (May) - The main characters name is Alex and that right there is enough to make me want to read this book. It does sound interesting beyond the name; I'm excited to read it.
Made You Up is on my list too. I like books with unreliable narrators and the premise is really interesting.
ReplyDeleteYes! Everything about this book is screaming read me now!
DeleteI keep seeing books I would read based on cover alone. "Made You Up" is interesting and gorgeous. Ditto "The Sin Eaters Daughter".
ReplyDeleteI know, there are so many books coming out with incredible covers, intriguing and beautiful!
DeleteBecoming Jin looks really good. I might have to check that one out!
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely excited about this one, like I wish I could have it now excited. But I guess patience is a virtue so I will be waiting until April like the rest of us. haha. I hope you decide to give it a try. :)
DeleteGreat list! How did I forget The Sin Eater's Daughter on mine?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
