July TBR: The Bookshelf

I participated in the Read Your Bookshelf-A-Thon in May and it was really fun.  Essentially I picked a section of my bookshelf and began reading the books in order.  I enjoyed the feeling of reading and finishing books that had been sitting on my shelf.  So in the style of that read-a-thon I'm declaring July the month of bookshelf reading.  I'm going to choose a point on my bookshelf and read as many of those books as I can in July.  I don't know how far I will get but it'll be fun getting there!

May TBR: Comics

In honor of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which came out May 1st in America and which I saw opening night, I thought it would be nice to read some comics this month.  Some of these will be rereads because I plan on reading most of my comic collection this month and finally dive into some of the storylines I've been avoiding.  Marvel, DC, and graphic novels alike don't get as much recognition as they should for being great sources of literature.  I'm excited to dive into this genre some more! (But also I ended the month with three different books started, that was dumb.  So this month will be more like finish the books I started in April and then on to Marvel comics month!)

April TBR: People's Choice

This theme is a bit tricky but I'm going to go with it.  I have chosen several people to go to my book shelf and pick out books for me to read.  In these moments, I know which books I'm hoping they pick and which ones I'm praying they skip over.  It really makes you aware of which books you don't want to read.  Anyway, the people have spoken and I will attempt to read some of these books.  Hopefully I won't get distracted.

I wanted to read the Harry Potter series again this month but they are all packed away in boxes at a different house from the one I am currently living in, so that's not going to work.  Instead, I thought I'd read some of those sequels I've either been procrastinating or dying to read.  Off to the library I go to pick these up.
