Harry Potter Moment of the Week (#91)

hosted by Uncorked Thoughts and Lunar Rainbows Reviews.

Which books would you recommend Ginny?

Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce - This would be a book 11/12-year-old Ginny would devour. There's so much action and female badassary in this series; it's main character is bold and brave and has a lot of nerve, something Ginny could certainly identify with.

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas - Okay, so it might be weird that I'm recommending a book that I haven't read yet, but from what I hear this is exactly what teenage Ginny would have loved to read. A headstrong female lead who does some crazy things. Goodness, I should be recommending this to me.

Dairy Queen by Catherine Gilbert Murdock - This is a book about a girl who wants to play on her school football team. Naturally, she's a little different from everyone else in her town.  Ginny is no stranger to that, but what I think Ginny would like about this book is the firm confidence the main character displays.

Young Avengers by Kieron Gillen and Hawkeye by Matt Fraction - I feel like Ginny would be really into graphic novels and superhero comics. I don't know why (I have a feeling there's a bit of self projection going on here.) It's fun to escape the real world into a world where superheroes are a thing. -- though I suspect Harry, Ron, and Hermione would be considers superheroes.
